Summer Exploration Program

Wednesday 3rd September, 2008

Calgary, Alberta (TSX Venture: WWR), September 3, 2008 - Western Warrior Resources Inc. ("Western Warrior") is pleased to provide an update from its summer exploration programs in Ontario. Planned summer field programs were focused on Western Warriors three extensive Ontario projects and directed towards target generation for a fall drill program. Drilling is scheduled to commence in mid September.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Pipestone - summer prospecting and mapping completed. Over 500 samples collected and submitted for assay. Target selection for mid-September drilling in progress.
  • Warclub North - three priority targets selected for drill testing.
  • Redvers - claims consolidated over a targeted magnetic feature covering a continuous 13 kilometre strike length.

Pipestone Gold, Ontario

The Pipestone project, near the City of Kenora, contains numerous historic gold and base metal showings, including the Wampum gold mine, a former producer. The Project was the primary focus of this summer's work with the objective of extending known mineralized trends, identifying new trends exposed by recent logging operations, and to prioritise Western Warrior's land-holdings within the property, currently one of the largest in northwestern Ontario. Favourable results include discovering the eastern extension to the Hay Island gold trend, locating the historic Wampum West gold occurrence, and expanding the Sandhill Lake Zn-Cu showing. Target selection for the September drill program is underway and will include the northern extension of the Wampum prospect.

Warclub Copper and Zinc, Ontario

The Warclub project is located 25 kilometres north of the Pipestone project, near the Kenbridge nickel deposit. Geophysics and mapping have delineated a gabbroic intrusion with associated AEM anomalies. Two additional AEM targets have been selected for follow-up prospecting and mapping for Cu-Zn and Ni potential.

Redvers Gold, Ontario

The Redvers property has been consolidated and now covers a 13 kilometre continuous strike length magnetic feature identified from the Western Warrior high resolution airborne magnetic survey. This feature is interpreted to represent a greenstone belt geological setting and will be investigated for gold mineralization associated with known gold showings in the near vicinity.

Please note: Western Warrior Resources (WWR) is now Whetstone Minerals (WMI).
