Western Warrior Appoints New President and Chief Executive Officer

Calgary, Alberta (TSX Venture: WWR), March 4, 2008 -- Western Warrior Resources Inc. ("Western Warrior") is pleased to announce that Paul Nagerl has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Western Warrior. Grant Hall has been appointed Vice President, Corporate Development of Western Warrior.

Mr. Nagerl has demonstrated a unique ability to recognize new opportunities generating projects and establishing solid exploration teams in South and Central America and Scandinavia with a track record for assembling impressive property portfolios that extends over 20 years.

Most recently, Paul Nagerl was Vice President, Exploration of Blackstone Ventures where he was focused on Blackstone's Scandinavian projects. Mr. Nagerl developed and managed local business units in Norway and Sweden while proceeding with the overall supervision and implementation of ongoing projects leading to the discovery of a VMS belt and nickel deposit within the largest exploration property portfolio in those countries. He received his Hons. B.S. Geo. and his M.S. Geo. from Carleton University and is a member of the PDAC and APGO.

Prior to joining Blackstone, Mr. Nagerl worked on the development of a regional project portfolio and management of advanced exploration projects for a nickel laterite deposit in Guatemala leading to a resource estimate and culminating in the sale of all assets to BHP Billiton. He established Falconbridge Brazil Ltda. for exploration within South America and successfully implemented PGE, Ni and Cu-Au projects focused in Brazil which led to the discovery of a new nickel laterite belt. His exploration experience extends to South Africa and includes being part of the team that discovered the William Lake Ni sulphide deposit in Canada.

Mr. Allan Dolan, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Western Warrior, commented, "We are very pleased that Mr. Nagerl will be joining Western Warrior and look forward to benefiting from his extensive mineral experience in strategic development, project review and project management". In connection with his appointment, Western Warrior has granted Mr. Nagerl options to acquire 1,000,000 common shares of Western Warrior at an exercise price of $0.25 per share until March 4, 2013. The options vest as to one-quarter thereof on each of the six, 12, 18 and 24 month dates from the date of the grant.
